Position Title: Construction Sales Executive
Position Overview: Are you a seasoned professional with a knack for winning signage projects? We’re seeking a highly skilled Construction Sales Executive with a specialized focus on bidding and securing architectural signage contracts. In this role, you will drive new business for a range of signage solutions, including experiential graphics, brand implementation, branded environments, and wayfinding systems. You’ll work across diverse markets such as corporate campuses, healthcare, transit, education, multi-housing, and more. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Bid Management: Take charge of organizing, initiating, and managing all aspects of bidding on signage projects, ensuring comprehensive and competitive proposals.
- Opportunity Generation: Identify and track new business opportunities, focusing on converting them into lucrative signage contracts.
- Proposal Preparation: Develop detailed and customized proposals based on bid documents, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Bid Coordination: Review, analyze, and prepare accurate take-offs from construction plans and specifications to support the estimating process.
- Client Engagement: Follow up with clients post-proposal to address queries, clarify details, and secure contract finalization.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Project Managers, to ensure smooth project handoffs and client satisfaction.
- Industry Networking: Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including AIA, CSI, general contractors, designers, and developers.
- Market Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and materials relevant to signage projects to provide expert advice and maintain a competitive edge.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Expertise in Bidding Signage Projects: Proven track record in securing architectural signage projects through effective bid management and proposal preparation.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of construction specifications, blueprint reading, and ERP/CRM systems. Skilled in using Word, Excel, Outlook, and plan sites.
- Sales Acumen: Ability to generate and manage leads, handle objections, and achieve sales goals in a business-to-business environment.
- Independent & Team-Oriented: Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Communication Skills: Excellent telephone and written communication skills, with the ability to engage decision-makers and influencers at all levels.
- Industry Insight: Understanding of construction processes and signage industry trends. Previous experience in the signage sector is preferred but not required.
- Organizational Ability: Strong organizational skills, with the capability to manage multiple opportunities and meet deadlines effectively.
