Product Marketing Manager (US - Contract)

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$33 - $43 per hour

Onsite/Remote:

This is a fully remote role, however, it is preferred that candidates sit in Central Time or Eastern Time. Candidates local to an Expedia office who can sit onsite 2-3 days per week are highly preferred.

Our B2B Product Marketing team is in search of a motivated Product Marketing Manager who is passionate about crafting and executing impactful go-to-market strategies while prioritizing exceptional customer experiences. You’ll be working closely with collaborators and leaders across the company, including Product, Strategy, Growth Marketing and Sales teams, to support the launch of new and improved products across our hotel and supply partner segments by devising winning go-to-market strategies, facilitating internal and external readiness for launches, and establishing robust, enduring product positioning and messaging for our partners.

The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for driving growth for a suite of products that help our hotel and other supply partners increase visibility and competitiveness across our B2B distribution network to reach their revenue goals. Critical to success will be your ability to develop a deep understanding of Expedia Group’s audiences and our business and product strategies, while working closely with cross-functional teams to influence and optimize our roadmap and launch plans. This is a temporary 6-month assignment.

Responsibilities of the Product Marketing Manager: 

  • Distill market, customer, and competitive insights to help inform the product roadmap, key business decisions, and the positioning of our products to various partner segments
  • Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies, partnering with Product, Marketing and Commercial teams, to drive adoption and growth of our products among hotels and other supply partners
  • Craft compelling, value-driven messaging that can be leveraged by cross-functional teams to drive successful campaigns and customer experiences
  • Lead clear, informative discussions that secure buy-in and alignment from leadership
  • Ensure Commercial and Marketing team readiness, partnering with Sales Enablement and other knowledge management and training teams, to develop materials and manage ongoing updates
  • Create pitch decks and demos with compelling stories for commercial teams to engage partners
  • Develop market, customer, and competitive insights to help inform the product roadmap, business decisions, and positioning of your products
  • Define launch strategies for new products or programs within the Hotel and supply portfolio
  • Craft core, benefit-based product positioning that can be leveraged by the global campaign teams, creative and UX content teams. Advise on messaging emphasis to best engage different partner segments
  • Develop and optimize adoption and mitigation strategies for existing products or programs, identifying compelling content for education campaigns
  • Coordinate efforts to ensure Account Management readiness, developing marketing materials and partnering with the Sales Enablement, Knowledge Management, and Training teams
  • Partners with product, marketing, customer support, sales enablement, and sales teams to drive adoption of key products and features

Qualifications of the Product Marketing Manager: 

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience working as a Product Marketer in a complex global organization, preferably in the B2B enterprise technology space or Travel
  • Adept at authoring and implementing outstanding insights plans and impactful go-to-market strategies that include positioning, messaging, and customer segmentation
  • Demonstrated ability to understand market and customer needs and leveraging that to influence product strategy and roadmap
  • Demonstrated ability to author and implement outstanding insights plans, positioning, messaging, segmentation, and strategic, impactful go-to-market and adoption plans
  • Master storyteller who knows how to craft messaging that clearly communicates value to the audience
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of a complex organization
  • Commercial-minded and skilled at driving growth through a variety of approaches, including account-based marketing
  • Curious mindset and ability to navigate uncertainty exceptionally well, relying on data and insights to make decisions and pushing boundaries to strive for excellence
  • Highly collaborative and enthusiastic about fostering unity among teams, steering toward accountability, visibility and clarity in everything we do
  • Proficiently manages a multitude of intricate decisions concurrently, spanning diverse teams, time zones, and cultural contexts
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Slack
  • Able to capably handle numerous, complex decisions simultaneously, across multiple teams, time zones, and cultures
  • Highly functioning within ambiguity thanks to your unbridled curiosity and passion for unraveling complexity
  • Willing to learn and eager to partner, always ensuring you bring your peers along the journey

Please note contractors are engaged to provide services to Expedia Group on a temporary basis in connection with a specific assignment. Contractors are hired and employed through Atrium, our third-party payrolling partner.

This job posting is for a temporary role as an employee of Atrium on assignment at Expedia. The individual selected for this role will be offered the role as an employee of Atrium; compensation, medical benefits, fringe benefits and other terms and conditions of employment shall be presented by Atrium upon offer. The pay rate range provided is a reasonable estimate of the anticipated compensation range for this job at the time of posting. The actual pay rate will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, location and/or being pursued and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition, this role will be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements.
