B2B SALES EXECUTIVE

The Lonely Entrepreneur (www.lonelyentrepreneur.com) is seeking a mission and results driven B2B Sales Executive that will be responsible for license/sponsor sales of The Lonely Entrepreneur Learning Community (see below) and related products and services to the wide universe of organizations looking to accomplish one of their strategic goals:

  • Win the war for the small business customer
  • Deliver on social justice and diversity promises
  • Empower entrepreneurs at scale

TLE is looking for a seasoned sales professional with B2B experience, who understands SaaS product sales and who is interested in working for a dynamic and passionate organization that has the honor to wake up every day helping entrepreneurs turn their passion into success.

The Lonely Entrepreneur Learning Community

TLE’s core offering is The Lonely Entrepreneur Learning Community – a SAAS platform that serves as a one stop for much of the knowledge, tools and support an individual needs to start or grow a business. It gives entrepreneurs multiple ways to get the answers they need including:

  • Knowledge: 500 learning modules on business and personal issues entrepreneurs face
  • Tools: 100s of templates (e.g., legal agreements) and reviews of vendors (e.g., CRM)
  • Ongoing Support and Community: through two channels - an online community and group coaching - where they can get their questions answered
  • 150+ Funding Sources: exposure to funding opportunities
  • 50+ Vendor Vetting and Deals: vetted vendors and deals (including some free services)
  • 200+ Procurement Opportunities: opportunities to offer services to larger companies

Application of The Lonely Entrepreneur Learning Community

TLE licenses its Learning Community to organizations (corporations, philanthropies and economic development orgs) to help them empower entrepreneurs at scale in order to win their business, meeting their social justice and diversity initiatives or empower economic development in their community.

This has also led to the creation of the Black Entrepreneur Initiative – an effort to empower 100,000 Black entrepreneurs. This is accomplished by organizations licensing or sponsoring the platform so that Black entrepreneurs can receive it for free. The sales executive will be responsible for developing and closing sales opportunities for these efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strong B2B sales experience (especially with SAAS or other technology products) and/or philanthropy development experience
  • Ability to apply a core product across multiple industries and segments
  • Strategically and tactically penetrate corporate and/or philanthropic accounts
  • Identify potential customers and set and execute an aggressive sales plan
  • Create a mix of strategic and tactical sales closes to create a dynamic pipeline and meet objectives
  • Identify qualified prospects and develop customer relationships
  • Deliver an established number of sales activities and proposals on a monthly basis
  • Demonstrate advantages and benefits of our recommended solution to prospects
  • Close business and provide after-sales reports ensuring growth year over year

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated sales ability, with assertive, positive and persistent style
  • 3-5 years of prior experience in B2B sales or development fundraising
  • Demonstrable success in previous employment indicated by high level of performance
  • Ability to execute sales strategies in a complex, multi-faceted environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation skills;
  • Team oriented; conceptual/consultative sales skills
  • Motivated, self-starter with effective time management skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as being a collaborative team member
  • Strong computer skills, specifically with Outlook, Word and Excel and CRM.

COMPENSATION:

Base $60,000 - $90,000

Competitive Commission

Expected Earning at Plan: $250,000
