We are accepting applications for the role of Customer Success and Sales Specialist for Duolingo for Business. Duolingo for Business (http://duolingo.com/business) is our offering for corporate clients, which allows companies to provide their employees with fun and effective learning for teams. This is an independent contractor position within the United States.

The Customer Success and Sales Specialist (CSSS) is responsible for delivering stellar service to our Duolingo for Business customers, from top of funnel through to renewals. The ideal CSSS has 3-5 years of applicable experience and is exceptional at building customer relationships in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will support a portfolio of prospects and existing accounts, with a primary focus on customer delight, closing prospects and driving adoption, and ultimately renewal/expansion.

At this time, this is a freelance position (no benefits included). All work will be conducted remotely and hours are flexible. This role is 30-40 hours/week.

You will...

  • Manage CRM prospect pipeline: track opportunities from lead to close (in Pipedrive)
  • Monitor our customer support email account and assist customers and prospects via email
  • Triage and escalate customer issues to the appropriate team or manager through Slack
  • Support the team with maintaining the required cadence of communication with clients, including arranging regular meetings
  • Prepare materials for client engagement, including usage reports and meeting decks
  • Adhere to key performance indicators: average first response time, average resolution time, customer satisfaction, and closed sales

You have...

  • 3+ years of experience in Customer Success, Account Management, and/or technical support
  • Self-starter who is process oriented, with excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle & prioritize various tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity (experience in a startup environment is a strong plus!)
  • Very comfortable using tools & technology, including
  • Proven competency with any familiar CRM program
  • Ability to utilize G-suite tools such as Google Docs, Sheets and Slides
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to backend systems
  • Exceptional writing and verbal communication
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced remote-work environment and adapt to frequent process changes
  • Strong, high-speed internet connection with access to personal laptop and/or desktop

Exceptional candidates will have…

  • 2+ years of experience with tech companies
  • Experience with SaaS sales
  • Experience with Pipedrive
  • Conversational/fluency in other languages
  • Duolingo user with an active streak
