Role: Technical Lead/Architect

Job Description: Technical Lead/Architect will work with clients of Agilian to architect the overall integration approach and cloud migration strategy for AWS for a health care organization. Technical Lead/Architect will also develop a single sign-on or identity provisioning service using open source, with health care systems at providers and payers. Technical Lead/Architect will also support Agilian efforts to win new AWS business, for example, writing technical language for RFP responses, creating AWS diagrams and architecture documents, and setting up demo and proof of concept environments in AWS.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) using AWS and open source Middleware in support of business modernization initiatives.
- Participate in reviews of high-level designs, software configuration and work closely with clients and users to gather reporting/dashboard requirements.
- Presenting to the highest-level customers both the technical and the non-technical (CEOs, CTOs, VPs…)
- Creating architectures that can be consumed by both technical team and high-level architecture/slides that can be consumed be the non-technical.
- Lead the development team in the effort to keep everyone up to date and on plan. Coordinate the development team about what they're doing so as to be able to explain it to everyone else, including the client (and occasionally ask some probing questions about whether we should be doing it that way).
- Lead modernization project to include but not limited to: Data Warehousing, Analytics, Portal, Security and Single Sign On, Message Oriented Middleware
- Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; and following the software development lifecycle.
- The ability to dive in and do hands-on coding in a variety of languages when the team needs another set of hands in the code.
- Lead the effort to improve our Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CICD)
- Contribute to the creation of technology-related best practices and processes for Agilian and its clients.
- Analyze and communicate the impact of technological changes or upgrades to the solution architecture and develop mitigation plans to ensure risks are alleviated.
- Capacity planning and recommendation of improvements to ensure system stability.
- Coordinate with appropriate personnel to develop positive application solutions that increase end-user satisfaction.
- Follow through to completion and communicate resolution results; escalate to management any situation that could adversely impact the service provided to the end-user or client.
- Participate in determining system performance standards for clients.
- Maintain and support current or new enhancements as necessitated by the users or legally mandated for existing or new applications.
- Develop technical design solutions for building Interfaces utilizing AWS and open source technologies which integrate with multiple Enterprise systems.
- Provide end-to-end support for AWS web service interfaces.
- Develop, execute, and document unit tests on technical objects.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to client/IT staff on routine and non-routine matters.
- Provide resolution for application integration issues by coordinating with various administration teams and stakeholders.
- Provide technical and architectural support to the company in support of sales, proposal, and business development opportunities in relationship to new AWS Integration and SOA business opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to undergo background investigation.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services lambdas, EC2, redshift, s3, Athena, IAM) as well as tools external to AWS (git, Jenkins, terraform).
- Bachelor's degree and/or additional related experience in lieu of degree
- Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills
- Strong consulting and communication skills
- Microsoft Suite Expertise including Visio and Project
- Demonstrated professional experience working as a Technical Lead on an AWS integration project.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with Integration frameworks offered by AWS to integrate with healthcare applications.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a software developer.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with webservices.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage pre-built integrations, cloud adapters, on-prem adapters, connections, SaaS applications, etc. in the solution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in AWS DevSecOps
- Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
- Experience in performance tuning, testing, and diagnosis of SOA integrations in AWS.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) in AWS.
- 2+ years of experience in AWS RedShift
- AWS Relevant Certifications
- At least one end-to-end healthcare integration project as a Technical Lead or Senior SOA Developer
- Experience with Agile development (e.g. Scrum); Scrum Master or equivalent experience a plus.
